Canon MX885 Printer Cover Open Close Mod Insert

Hello Thingiverse Community, This is a quick design for an external ink tank mod on Canon MX885 printers that work with all-in-one units. Since I've been unable to close my scanner/cover, the printer won't start printing. I used a piece of cardboard for years to trick the cover closed switch but now that I have a 3D printer, it was only natural to design and print something. Since this is quite a small print, adding extra details isn't necessary and will just lower the quality of the print. The final print has a bit of texture (I'm not sure what term we use for 3D printing here) but it's negligible and fit for use. This design is meant to be flexible so it can be inserted and removed by applying some pressure. It should click into place and be quite easy to remove. The clip/mod is tall enough so that average-sized fingers can grasp it. Happy printing and thanks again.
