Canon Mulet's Mausoleum at the Seu de Manresa church proudly stands after a remarkable restoration. In December 2013, this stunning baroque masterpiece by sculptor Josep Sunyer (1719) suffered a devastating blow when it was ravaged by fire. Two highly skilled restoration specialists embarked on an arduous six-month journey to meticulously restore the piece at the CRBMC, a specialized division of the Catalan government dedicated to heritage recovery. The result is a fully restored mausoleum now back on display at the Seu de Manresa church. To document the intricate process and complex fragmentation of the sculpture, digital photogrammetry was employed to create highly accurate 3D models of each fragment in various formats, including PDF 3D. A comprehensive visual representation of the entire model has been crafted, detailing the meticulous reassembly of all fragments. This video showcases the photogrammetry process and the creation of a stunning visual representation using advanced tools.
