To use an external power supply, locate the small rubber cover in your camera's hinged door and remove it to reveal a 6mm hole. Use an extremely small connector with a stripped cable, approximately 5cm long, tin-coated and bent around the edge. Position the negative/black wire near the corner and the positive/red wire towards the center, ensuring they end close to the big hole for knotting. Solder the tinned wires to the case using a soldering iron. Connect a minimum 1A, 4.3V power supply to the wires for optimal functioning. The initial version of these instructions was dated 03-09-2011 and has since been revised for improved clarity and accuracy on 10-09-2011.
