Canon EOS lens theft protector

Removing a lens from a Canon EOS camera can be surprisingly simple. In fact, it's almost too easy - as I discovered when I was waiting in line at a McDonald's in St. Petersburg. As I sat down to enjoy my burger, I realized that the lens was missing. It appears that stealing lenses like this is quite common in Russia. This protective cover shields the lens release button, making it difficult to change the lens without a screwdriver. However, even with some cunning Russian trickery, the lens won't come off easily. The design was created specifically for the 24-70 lens and others may require a slightly different approach. I might add more designs in the future, but for now, this one is geared towards the 24-70 lens - which is often the go-to choice when only using one lens.
