This template is designed specifically for casting a purely decorative brass cannon, which comes equipped with a barrel but is not intended for use as a salute cannon or with projectiles due to its extremely fragile construction. In fact, the construction of this cannon is so flimsy that it would not be able withstand even the slightest pressure, even if cast in bronze. Typically, salute cannons feature a steel barrel insert to increase their durability. It's essential to note that any kind of charge in a cannon with such a fragile structure is extremely hazardous. The primary reason for constructing this cannon in this manner is to minimize material costs. A full #10 crucible should be more than sufficient for this casting process.
