Lowpoly model based on a Dutch cannon located in Malacca, Malaysia. I recently visited this site and took some pictures of it, which inspired me to create a 3D lowpoly version. Modeling the high and low polys was done in Maya, while texturing and unwrapping were handled in Marmoset toolbag. Substance Painter was used for adding texture details, and ZBrush came into play for sculpting the wood edges. A 4kx4k texture with a density of 1024 texel per meter was applied to give it a realistic look. The polycount is set at 10116 Tris, giving it a smooth finish. This project was part of an online class assignment for Intermediate term (February 2020) at Think Tank centre online under the supervision of Jason Gullion.
