This strainer lid is perfect for both regular and wide mouth canning/mason jars, making it ideal for straining liquid from canned goods like peaches. In addition to canned foods, it's also useful for straining items such as kefir grains or vanilla beans in extract making. The design was inspired by a Thingiverse model (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:10601) and is part of a collection of canning jar accessories featured on Protoparadigm's blog. To use it, simply download the appropriate version, print, and remove any stray strings from the threads with tweezers before straining your desired item.
