Canning Jar Airlock lid

Large mouth canning jar lid for lacto-fermentation: Avoiding Vapor Lock Issues. I thoroughly appreciated the creator's approach, but to save space in my jars, I adopted his concept with some modifications. Update (2/20): Hobbyists Unite! I have resolved most of the problems and it is now functioning as intended or, at the very least, sitting quietly. All corrections were applied, except for a critical measurement - the fill level - which I neglected to record. A rubber band can also be used effectively as a seal. Instructions: The lid was 3D printed with PLA using an infill of 18%, although 15% would probably suffice. In the design drawing, there is a built-in lip support that will release easily without needing any tools for removal. For securing the jar, I use a rubber band and also recommend applying a canning band to tighten it in place (since making threads wasn't an option). Fill the jar approximately halfway with water to complete the airlock, allowing your recipe to develop undisturbed. Please be aware that cleaning procedures remain unknown to me; as such, simply dry it well after each use should suffice. Furthermore, a light covering of the top is advisable for maintaining long-term cleanliness by keeping dust out of the airlock.
