Canning Funnel for Pint or Half Pint Wide Mouth Ball or Mason Jar

At this time of year, I create my own cranberry/cherry compote and can it. However, I lacked a canning funnel, so I tried a similar one from Thingiverse but found that it either fit a different jar or was scaled incorrectly for standard wide mouth ball/Mason jars. To resolve this issue, I designed a new funnel for an accurate fit. The funnel was redesigned in Solidworks 2013 and printed on an Ordbot Hadron Printer using ABS with a modified QU-BD stepstruder. The print utilized a 1.75 mm ABS filament, with a layer thickness of .2 mm (200 microns) and an 85% fill factor, along with scaffolding support. After experimentation, I concluded that a wall thickness of .060 in (1.5mm) offered the best balance between durability and filament usage. A thin Acetone wash would seal the surfaces effectively. ABS printing was carried out at 235°C on clear Monokote film over a heated glass bed maintained at 110°C for the initial layer and 100°C for subsequent layers. To ensure proper adhesion, Aquanet Extra Super Hold hairspray was sprayed onto the Monokote. Employing this technique has eliminated any ABS sticking issues for me.
