sketchfab
This is a canine molar tooth that has been meticulously scanned at a microscopic level using a high-resolution micro-CT scanner capable of capturing details down to 27 micrometres. A cutting-edge bespoke software developed by Bruker, with its headquarters located in Kontick, Belgium, was utilized to create this digital model, which was subsequently refined and smoothed to perfection using the advanced tools available in Meshlab. The creation of this model was made possible through a generous grant awarded by the University of Melbourne's Learning and Teaching Initiatives program. This remarkable tooth is an integral part of the esteemed collection housed at the Melbourne Dental School.
