this is a tool to safety open up the top of a soda can

UPDATE

after the first print was a total structural failure. I didn't do enought infill (crank it). The handle just snapped off with the top. I think I'd up scale it a bit more too. I'm going to change the bottom so you won't need support

Update

This is copy and paste so far as I can tell. I made one with 40% infill and 2mm wall and its a tank. You could kill with this thing. So a 30% should be just fine but 20 is not enough for strength. A redesign and there is no need for any supports. I'm sure there are other uses for it but man does it open up the end of a aluminum can.

UPDATE

Did the final download to print with no size alteration to the original and it came out perfect. No supports needed. lanyard hole works. The geometry on the work head does it's job of making tares to the lid. It is the most perfect stupid tool I've ever created.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Creality

Printer:

Ender 3

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Infill:

30

Filament:
any any

Notes:

set the wall thickness to 2mm.

Category: 3D Printing
