Extracting textures from a .skp file is simple if you have specific software. In Sketchup, export as a 2D file under File/Export/2d Graphic. Alternatively, export as a COLLADA file (*.dae) in File -> Export -> 3D Model, ensuring Export Texture Maps is checked. With C4D, importing the .skp file generates a folder with textures next to it. In 3ds Max, textures are stored in ..3dsMaxsceneassetsimages when importing the .skp file, or export an fbx file with embedded media selected for automatic texture generation. Rhinoceros 3D also supports this process; open the material editor, select a material with a texture, click the three-dot button on the texture name, and locate the textures in ..AppDataLocalTempembedded_files.
