Candle holder with Celtic Knots

The design for the candle holder originated from Thingiverse, specifically at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:290014. The Celtic knot image used was obtained from ClanBadge's website, found at http://www.clanbadge.com/images/round_celtic_knot_1.jpg. This project began with Inkscape, where I imported the Celtic knot image and then traced it as a bitmap. Next, I exported the image as an SVG file to enable its import into Blender. Once in Blender, I imported both the STL file of the candle holder from Thingiverse and the SVG file of the Celtic knot. Using Blender's capabilities, I extruded the Celtic knot to create a three-dimensional model and scaled it up to match the size of the candle holder. By combining these two elements, I designed a unique object that incorporated both the candle holder and the Celtic knot in an aesthetically pleasing way.
