Bigger and better version can be found here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2128378 My girlfriend's mother is passionate about crafting her own candles, so I thought it would be an awesome idea to design a heart mold for her. With Valentine's Day approaching, I decided to make it a heart-shaped mold. Pay attention! Before pouring in wax, you need to secure the two pieces together using a C clamp or something similar. If you over-tighten it, the mold will warp. (Print with higher infill and bottom layers if this is an issue.) Also, use metal plates to distribute the force on them (of the C clamp). Print Settings: Printer: K8200 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.3 Infill: 40% Notes: I recommend printing it lying on its back with support for the small funnel on top. How I Designed This V1.2 Notes: Someone suggested adding a hole for the wick, which seemed like a great idea. After watching a candle-making tutorial (I've never made a candle myself), I came up with these changes. Feet were added to accommodate a rubber piece and washer around the wick. A hole was added for the wick. New fillet edges were applied. Part 1's whole diameter was increased by 0.25mm, ensuring the other half fits without excessive sanding. V1.3 Notes: The small pegs were replaced with stronger ones.
