Candelabra

Candelabra

For these 2 designs I used a method for equally distributing points around a circle. I made the small candelabra to test the ability of my printer to print small tall thin shapes without breaking them. Candelabra1 shows that all the candles printed OK, although the tall ones did wiggle a little when the hotend got near the top. Even though my standard print speed is 100 mm/sec candelabra1 took a little less than 15 hours to print. This is because slicers slow down the hotend for small moves, and for this STL file my slicer (SuperSlicer) generates almost entirely small moves. Candelabra2.stl is larger and has fewer candles, but even so my slicer says it would take about 36 hours to print. So for right now I've opted not to print it, but I included it here in case someone wants to try it. I put a double-twist on candelabra2's candles, so I think it would make an interesting print. I may make the print myself some time in the future; if so I'll add photos here.
