Canadian Money Slider
thingiverse
Created by high school student Justin A., this invention offers a playful method to organize Canadian currency (Twonies, Loonies, Quarters, Dimes, and Nickels). To use it, follow these instructions: PLA provided the best results; however, ABS cracked and warped on a makerbot. Printing took a considerable amount of time but makerbots now have a "cold pause" feature to assist. The key component is the slider (MoneySlider1.stl). Two base options are available, with only MoneySlider2.stl tested by Justin. An additional base (MoneySlider3.stl) was attempted by the teacher but has not been proven effective. Despite design revisions, Twonies may still get stuck in the Loonie slot. The other coins function well. This imperfect creation is shared for anyone who might enhance its design.
