Canadian Digital Service Logo
thingiverse
This is the logo for the Canadian Digital Service. The top section, the crown, must be painted or rendered in gold or a golden colour, while the bottom section of the leaf can be rendered in Canadian Red, silver, black, white, or any other available filament colour. The top part must be gold! The SVG of the Canadian Maple Leaf used to make this design is included for future reference. This badge should be worn like a Starfleet communicator badge, as shown on Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Communicator_(Star_Trek)). It's part of the uniform of the Canadian Digital Service. This service shares its values with the best in Canada and Starfleet: respect for human rights, liberties, and freedoms; advancements in medicine, science, technology, and culture. Wearing this badge means openly declaring respect for individuals and optimism about making a better future. A fastener must be created, possibly something like the one found on Thingiverse (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1256263). After the first print, shrinking to a 6cm vertical length gives a better size, and gold paint on the crown looks great! A safety pin was taped to the back for this prototype, but it's promising. The stem might benefit from thickening, but we'll see. JOIN THE CANADIAN DIGITAL SERVICE TODAY! SERVE YOUR FELLOW HUMANS! MAKE A BRIGHTER FUTURE! Next up is adding a recessed pin spot to the back and creating a nametag generator probably in openSCAD. The favourite font right now is 'press start'.
