Canadian Bee Clearer cone

My friend asked to borrow a Canadian bee clearer from our local club, but unfortunately, they didn't have one available. So, I decided to build one myself. These clearers are very effective and quick at clearing bees out of supers. The cones aren't one-way valves, but the bees get disoriented and can't find their way back in. However, you shouldn't leave them on for more than six hours. To make this clearer, you'll need: * 460mm x 460mm of 6mm plywood * Four pieces of 440mm x 62mm wood, each 20mm thick * Sixteen 15mm nails * Eight 40mm nails * A 25mm wood drill bit * Some strong glue On the 6mm plywood board, draw a cross between the four corners and mark 200mm from the center to each corner. Drill five 25mm holes at each marked location. Using 15mm nails, nail the four slats along the edges of the board, then nail the ends with 40mm nails. Finally, glue the cones into the holes you drilled, making sure they're inside as shown in the pictures. These cones are only £25 on the Thornes website, but it cost me about £1 to make since I had all the necessary materials in my workshop.
