According to a note attached to this bone dated "March 7, 1967," this coracoid was discovered as part of "bird bones from an Indian village site located east of Blacksburg, Virginia on the North Fork of Roanoke River." This bone was scanned in three dimensions with a NextEngine Desktop 3-D scanner at the archaeological curation facility of the Virginia Department of Historic Resources in Richmond, Virginia. The model is courtesy of the Virginia Department of Historic Resources, which has granted permission for it to be downloaded for non-commercial educational purposes only.
