Canada Flower
prusaprinters
A flower that’s based on the flag of Canada. Printing InstructionsMaterialI plan on displaying this outside so I used PETG, but you can use what ever material you think is appropriate.BasePrint the base in white. I printed with a 5mm brim to avoid warping.PedalsPrint 12 pedals in total, 6 white pedals and 6 red pedals. I printed the pedals two at a time with a 5mm brim.TopThis is a multi-material print involving two STLs in two colours. I printed Top.stl in white and Maple Leaf.stl in red. I used a 5mm brim to avoid warping.I don’t have a MMU unit myself. I used the instructions provided by JoanTabb to do a manual filament change at the appropriate time. Only one filament change is required.Assembly InstructionsSince I intend to display this outside I used two part epoxy to glue it all together. This is my first time attempting this, I don’t know for sure how well it will work. You can use what ever you think is appropriate.Pictures from each step of the process are included.Step 1: Glue a saw tooth hanger to the cutout in the base.Step 2: Glue 4 white pedals and 2 red pedals for the bottom layer. Make sure you put the pedals in the appropriate locations (see photo).Step 3: Glue 2 white and 4 red pedals for the top layer. Make sure to get the pedals in the correct location.Step 4: Glue on the top piece. At this point I used a stack of books to press the whole object together while the glue sets.
