Camulogene was a powerful Aulerci elder who led a coalition of Seine peoples against the Romans in 52 BC, as recorded by Caesar. He implemented a devastating scorched earth policy, burning Lutetia to the ground and attempting to entrap Titus Labienus's forces. Camulogene ultimately met his demise on the battlefield at Lutetia. In recognition of his significance, Paris honors him with a street named Rue Camulogène. A stunning marble sculpture depicting this legendary leader was crafted by French sculptor Eugène-Louis Lequesne, born in Paris on February 15th, 1815, and passing away there on June 3rd, 1887. This remarkable artwork is part of the "Scan The World" initiative, a non-profit project launched by MyMiniFactory to create a digital repository of fully printable sculptures, artworks, and landmarks from around the globe for public access.
