CAMS Arm

CAMS Arm

thingiverse

Our company has a RED ONE Digital Cinema Camera, and unfortunately, its RED ARM broke. After multiple repair attempts failed, we designed a new arm called "CAMS," or "Camera Accessory Mounting System." The first piece of this system is meant for mounting an LCD Display to a RED Camera, but it can also be used with any device that uses standard 1/4" mounting hardware. For more information, check out our blog post at rasterweb.net/raster/2014/03/05/a-new-arm-part-ii/. To assemble the LCD Display mount, print the provided files along with six knobs and a small knob, then attach with 1/4" bolts and nuts. The smaller knob is for added camera clearance during tightening, and we used a Philips head screw for easy attachment. The display can be tilted up and down or rotated left and right by adjusting the knobs. If needed, run a 1/4" drill bit through the bolt holes for a better fit.
