Imagine trekking into a campsite and having thousands of gallons of water readily available, no need to lug it in. Or, picture this: being disconnected from city water but situated near a river. This setup generates drinkable tap water from river sources. Watch the video here: https://youtu.be/Yz4cEeDLc9k This device allows a person located near an outdoor water source of at least 3 inches in depth to have filtered, drinkable water in bottles and jugs within minutes by simply flipping a switch. This way, you can multitask while using. Be aware that the current filter used is 0.1 micron, which is good enough to block all bacteria. In some countries with high virus content in their water, this device should not be used at this time. This device is a work in progress and is functional as it stands but will go through several improvements: 1) We will add parts that increase weight or allow for rocks to be placed inside a compartment. 2) We will design parts with attachments that fit more sizes of tubing. 3) We will modify the device to use a better filter that can handle extremely contaminated water. 4) We will change the type of pump used, currently it uses a portable battery-powered gardening pump. 5) We will create an attachment that allows hook-up of solar cells. 6) We will improve the instructions.
