Campervan - secure lock
thingiverse
My campervan relies heavily on locks similar to the one shown in the picture, and locking doors requires simply pressing a button. However, I frequently forget to lock my kitchen drawer, which shifts while driving, prompting me to seek an automatic locking solution that directly replaces the original lock. Unfortunately, no commercial part could meet this requirement. This project shares similarities with other locks I discovered, necessitating a metal grip on the outside to secure the lever. The parts are connected using M3 screws of varying lengths and require a small spring. For the grip, I used wood PLA in my 3D printer, but it doesn't have a polished appearance; hence, I need to obtain some silver PLA. The part numbered 26 is an exact replacement for the lock, which initially led me to use it elsewhere, but its mounting configuration differed significantly. Therefore, I designed and printed part 28, adjusting the locking mechanism to be 5mm higher and 2mm closer to the front side. To achieve this distance, I created two "Hebel2" modifications, though I'm unsure which one I eventually utilized. **Print Settings** * **Printer:** Renkforce RF100 * **Rafts:** Yes * **Supports:** Yes * **Resolution:** 0.2mm * **Infill:** 100% * **Notes:** * Some holes may require threading to secure the screws. * Certain components might need drilling to achieve the correct diameter.
