I've got an old camper restoration project underway, and one challenge I'm facing is replacing brittle running light lenses in amber and red. The ones I need are Bargman 50 SAE PC 68 size, but replacement lenses of this exact size are scarce. After scouring eBay for options, I found the few available amber lenses to be prohibitively expensive and not available in sufficient quantities. That's when I turned to my trusty 3D printer! I figured that if no one else needs these custom lenses, it wouldn't hurt to share the design on Thingiverse. This replacement part boasts the same 2 5/8" inside diameter as the original, with a slightly thicker base for added stability. To replicate the desired amber hue, I'm considering swapping out the bulb for an amber LED or a yellow incandescent replacement. If that doesn't yield the right color, I'll look into applying clear amber paint to the interior of the lens. Alternatively, I might reprint the part and attempt to color the clear filament with an amber magic marker. As a last resort, I'll simply purchase some clear orange filament and use it to create the desired shade.
