I recently acquired an older camper, which we frequently use for boondock camping - a style of camping that involves no hookups. To enhance our experience, I wanted to add an option to charge devices via a USB connection directly from the campers battery. The goal was to create something both sleek and functional. After some planning, I constructed a two-part box that securely attaches to the underside of the cabinets. I discovered a 2-port 12V USB adapter with a built-in voltage meter on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M0GR0FQ?th=1). This product provided me with the necessary functionality and convenience. To ensure user control over power consumption, I added a hole for a 12V push-button switch to the design. With this feature, users can easily turn off the device when not in use, thus conserving battery life. For added protection of connected devices, I also incorporated a blade fuse into the unit's design.
