Peter's Church is a medieval church in Galtellì, situated just outside the town center, near the cemetery. The sacred building was once the cathedral of the diocese of Galtellì. The Peter's Church, despite being very different from the current one, probably existed already during the time when construction work began on the Galtelli Cathedral around 1090. Those works were never completed and may have been interrupted in 1138, the year the seat of Galtelli became a suffragan of the archdiocese of Pisa. From what would be the mother church of the diocese remains today, incorporated into the cemetery's perimeter wall, a stretch of muraria from the apse façade. The temple is flanked by a stout campanile tower with a pointed top that stands separate from the building itself. The latter presents an internal rectangular floor plan, divided into three aisles, with two chapels on the left side and one to the right. The apse has a square floor plan, accompanied by two chapels on either side.
