I bought a camouflage kit, but unfortunately, it wasn't designed for our wood size. We needed something that would fit a 4 1/2 inch piece of wood. So I decided to take matters into my own hands and design a custom solution using 3D printing technology. But then I had an even better idea: creating a system that could accommodate two planks at once, allowing the boards to automatically align with each other as they were installed. It was a clever concept that ultimately worked quite well. A word of warning, though: because it's made from 3D printed materials, this solution may be more prone to damage than others. You might need to create multiple copies before finding one that meets your needs. Now, let's talk about which design to use. Camo 138 is designed for a 5/4x6 plank, but keep in mind that these are generally slightly smaller than the standard 5 1/2 inch size. You may need to scale up this design slightly to get it to fit properly. Here's what I suggest: print out a few test versions of Camo 138 and stop the printing process after several layers. Try fitting it onto one of your boards, and if it works, you can reprint it in its entirety. If not, you'll need to make some adjustments before moving forward. Alternatively, you could consider using Camo 115, which is specifically designed for a 5/4x5 plank that measures 4 1/2 inches wide. If neither of these options seems like the right fit, you might want to try using Camo 1, which can be used with any type of wood. This design involves printing three separate units and screwing them into place on a plank of wood. It's a quick and easy solution that's also suitable for smaller 3D printers.
