Here's a remote camera control turret project that I'm working on for live video broadcast. It's not done yet, but it's headed in the right direction. The ball bearings used are: * 1 x 51108 * 1 x F6-14G * 2 x 688 This is a motorized turret project designed for small cameras. The idea is to be able to capture video without having an cameraman on site. The build isn't finished yet, but I'll share any updates and improvements as I go. The advantages of this design are: * It's cost-effective (almost nothing to spend) * Simple to set up * A steampunk-inspired design (could be improved) The drawbacks so far are: * Slow and imprecise motors (influenced by the gear reducer) * Lacking in rigidity To assemble this turret, you'll need: * 2 x 28BYJ-48 motors * M4x16 screws for attaching the motors * 2 x 688 ball bearings * 1 x F6-14G bushing (similar to B6) * 1 x 51108 bushing * 1 x M6 x 30 screw * 1 x nylon insert M6 nut * 1 x M8 x 50 screw * 1 x nylon insert M8 nut Update log: 09-05: I've added a modified pan, which positions the motor at the back for increased discretion. I've also made adjustments to the motor attachment so it's more adjustable. 05-12: I've added tilt without any drilling needed, and created version 2 of the tilt mount. It's raised by 1cm, making it easier to access under the tilt, while improving rigidity. To-do list: * Add a zero-point or replicate the current position.
