Camera Tripod Umbrella Clamp

Camera Tripod Umbrella Clamp

I remixed this camera tripod mount so that I could have a portable method of shade mostly for car shows but also maybe camping. The mount has a couple of screw holes that can use a small bolt and nut (M6 I think?) as a sort of jam nut to retain an umbrella handle and also clamp into a camera tripod. My thought process on this was a lighter weight and more portable method of shade than a traditional pop-up canopy - the tripod is light and folds up small (should be compatible with most camera tripods) and the umbrella folds up small enough to stow in the storage area of my Delorean. If you are familiar with these cars, you know storage space was an afterthought. I purchased one of the 80" golf umbrellas to use in this mount: https://www.amazon.com/Umbrella-Oversize-Windproof-Double-Canopy/dp/B09C7YKL8H/ref=sr_1_3_sspa?crid=8U11NY6HJTTT&keywords=80+inch+umbrella&qid=1693086447&sprefix=80+inch+umbrell%2Caps%2C210&sr=8-3-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&psc=1 Bear in mind that you will need to weigh down the tripod (I used a 16lb kettlebell) so that a slight breeze does not carry away this gigantic parasol. That said, I have successfully endured two 85°F+ car shows with this now and it has worked perfectly. I printed this at 100% infill as I was not sure how well the design would hold up over time.
