Camera Tripod Adapter for Smartphone

This part has threads printed in 3D and attaches directly to a universal camera tripod mount on top. A car-phone holder is mounted on the upper section using an available holder I had lying around. The lower end of this part could be useful to steal and adapt, while modifying the upper half to fit specific needs. I used a .1mm layer height when printing to create a threaded hole that worked perfectly well. It's surprising that other tripod mounts rely on a 1/4-20 nut for attachment.
