Camera Trigger Casing

Camera Trigger Casing

thingiverse

Craft a housing for a remote camera trigger that fits comfortably in hand. The case has openings for two push-buttons and a rocker switch, as well as space for the cable exit. To assemble, print both halves, insert circuitry, then glue them together (after confirming functionality). This image displays a prototype; improvements to the finished trigger include printing at 60% fill, ensuring clean cutouts for buttons, smoothing with acetone wash and ABS fill, testing electronics as plastic cures, sanding and wiping down casing, fitting and hot-gluing electronics with strain relief, retesting, gluing and acetoning casing halves together, and masking off components before applying rubberizer/Plasti Dip. Follow this wiring diagram for setup: doc-diy.net/photo/eos_wired_remote/. The project was completed on 2011-07-14; the casing was not plasti dipped, and a 16-foot audio cable provided ample range. Ensure all cables are functional during testing.
