Do not use plastics with any conductive component as they will likely produce dangerous results when utilized to take advantage of the insulation qualities of plastic. Ensure that you examine the complimentary service carrier at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3722015. If you purchased one of those security cameras and it came equipped with an odd RJ45 plug, powered by a 12-volt DC adapter, this cabinet is designed to hold the plugs, adapter, and power cord end under a precipitation-proof cabinet. I am publishing the cabinet itself because after some thought, I realized that it might be useful for other projects. It may also be flood-capable if you encapsulate the enclosure with paint, epoxy, or adhesive. By flood-capable, I mean the bottom will remain open, but the cabinet will create an air cavity, a technique used in high-end stereos installed on boats. Printing orientation may be key; my extruder fan has caused some problems with the buttons at the bottom of the cabinet. A prototype was printed and came out well, however your slicer might try to infill the top of the cabinet using the hexagonal method, which is a problem. Perhaps use lines or rectilinear instead. I recommend painting it or applying epoxy. Please print this cabinet standing up! Comments/requests are appreciated. Dimensions will be published soon. The service carrier design is complete and just needs testing on a prototype.
