Camera Sun Hood DJI Mavic Air Drone

When you print one of these, post a picture and let me know what you think of it. This clamp-on sun shade is designed for the DJI Mavic Air drone. When attached, the view angle of the camera becomes smaller than the cap, preventing it from being seen in the shot. However, when the sun is lower in the sky, its rays can shine directly onto the lens, even if the sun itself is not visible in the frame. This can cause a bad recording due to the direct rays reflecting inside the camera housing. The easy-to-add sun shade helps resolve this issue. The design requires printing with a flexible material. A bolt hole was intentionally omitted and needs to be created after printing using a red-hot needle. An M2 bolt is suggested, but a smaller size would be even better. Be cautious not to overclamp the shade, as it only requires a gentle clamping force to secure it. During startup, the drone moves the camera up and down to adjust settings. To avoid issues, lift the drone during this process and refrain from landing with the camera pointing downwards unless using leg extensions on the drone. The design should not cause problems while flying. My experience suggests that the camera's limited upward movement (by setting) poses no issue. Furthermore, I have not encountered any problems with the forward obstacle sensors, and believe there will be minimal issues from propwash hitting the hood. The props' flat tips minimize downward airflow at this location.
