I'm Invited on a Photowalk in SNOLAB, Sudbury, Ontario - A Physics Lab with a Cleanroom Facility Challenge I recently received an invitation to join a photowalk in the physics lab at SNOLAB in Sudbury, Ontario, and I was thrilled to accept. The main challenge of this adventure is that it takes place within a full cleanroom facility, where no camera bags are allowed, only one camera, two lenses, and a strap, along with any accessories I can carry. To prepare for the photowalk, I wanted to bring my Canon 70-200mm lens with a Fuji adapter, as well as my Fujinon 18mm f/2 lens. However, I realized that carrying both would be impractical, so I came up with an idea to use the R-strap to clip onto the Canon lens and adapter combo, allowing me to attach it near my shoulder when not in use. I also attached a second R-strap hook to my XT-1 body, giving me the freedom to remove my hands if needed. This setup holds well to the strap and securely holds the 18mm f/2 lens. Although I'm sure repeated uses will loosen the fit over time, it should suffice for the duration of our 8-hour photowalk. I must emphasize that this improvised solution is not suitable for larger lenses and I'll be extremely cautious when attaching my lens to avoid any accidents.
