Camera Slider (w/ Inventor files)
thingiverse
A camera slider consists of several components. The mounting plate has pre-drilled holes for 1/4" and 3/8" screws, designed to securely hold the camera in place. Metal railing supports were used to create the rods, with an outer diameter of 19.3 mm. Normal skateboard bearings are set into the middle of each roller, providing smooth movement. The rollers attach to the mounting plate using machine screws and nuts, ensuring a sturdy connection. Roller V2 features a larger hole for accommodating nuts. The mounting plate prints well when positioned flat on the build plate, with supports touching the plate for the hardware insets. Other pieces may not require supports, depending on individual printer settings. Rollers should have high infill levels, around 50-60%, while the mounting plate and end caps can have lower infill rates of 5-10%.
