CAMERA SLIDER FULLY 3D PRINTED NO NEED TO BUY PARTS
thingiverse
I hope you'll love this camera slider! I spent two whole months crafting it, and had a blast tackling my first real big design project. It may not work as smoothly as the high-end brands out there, but if you're looking to have some fun with your printer and get creative, then this is definitely worth trying out! Those tubes alone are pretty cool, don't you think? People might even mistake them for toilet paper holders... yeah, that's pretty funny. Just be aware that unless you print at a super high resolution on low speed, the inner rollers will need some sanding to work smoothly. You can check out my full walkthrough on this project on my YouTube channel "TrytoHELPyou" - it's under the video "3D Printed Camera Slider Fully 3D Printed". I'd love for you to join me and have some fun! Here are the print settings I used: * Rafts: No big deal, just ignore 'em. * Supports: Who cares? You won't need any. * Resolution: For most parts, I went with the quick setting. * Infill: Try using 25% to 35% hex fill - it's my personal recommendation! * Notes: Just keep in mind that this is trial and error territory. My trusty Dremel Idea Builder did the trick for me. If you're interested in hearing more about the project (but not print settings), check out my YouTube video on "Trytohelpyou". Now, let's get to the designing bit! I used Autodesk 123D Design to create this camera slider. I gotta say, it was a breeze - especially with my solid background in 2D illustration work. But be warned: if you're new to computer-based design, especially when it comes to 2D stuff, this might seem like a bit of a struggle at first.
