Camera slider with linear motion precision Edit: Sledge modification achieved by rectifying earlier design oversight on slide Edit 2: Sled alignment ensured via precise hole centering; sledge foot length augmented by 7mm for stability Edit 3: Integrated SketchUp-files generated using 2015 software iteration available for download To-Do List: Implement secure attachment mechanism for slider belt on sledge framework Instructions Required hardware: 8mm rods, LM8UU bearings Instructions for assembly: 1. Fabricate print brackets and two sledges. 2. Accurately drill or bore 8mm holes to accommodate rod inserts. 3. To facilitate smooth operation, apply heat to LM8UU linear bearing components for 10-15 seconds before securing into place within the sledge framework. 4. Fasten sledges together with two M3 screws for a secure and sturdy build. 5. Locate center of sledge, then drill corresponding hole; securely attach tripod head via robust fastening mechanism. Optional Assembly Enhancements: 1. Integrate stepper motor to drive slider mechanism via pre-fabricated motor bracket assembly 2. Supplement slider automation system by incorporating bearing component onto complementary bracket design
