Made in pieces to make printing easier. The top half CMA_06 can be tapped M4 and two M4 x 12mm bolts can be used to tighten it to a shelf. The lower slot should be wide enough to capture M4 nuts. After CMB_07 is bolted to the slot on CMA_06 the camera can be attached with a 1/4"-20 capture bolt. If the assembly is too floppy add Stiffener_02 before attaching stuff to stuff. When you're satisfied all is well attach it to a shelf and you're good to go. Oct 22: I notice that the weight of a camera makes the whole thing sag over time so I've added HorizStiffener_01. Bolt one end to bottom of CMB_07 then adjust the other bits to push on something under the shelf to increase stability. A good choice for bolting the stiffeners together is to use carriage bolts secured with wing nuts. But M4 carriage bolts are terribly expensive: $2.00 apiece on Amazon!! So I created a second set: HorizStiffener_02 has wider slots for #10-24 carriage bolts that are only $0.29 apiece from www.specialtytool.com.
