About this ModelThis is a clean, simple holder for commonly used (for a camera rig) hex key sizes of 5, 4, 3, 2.5 and 2 mm, the places for which are indicated by a code of dots on either side. Designed to slip onto the rods, it holds in place nicely, keeping these tools handy for when a part needs adjusting. The idea for it just came from the necessity of needing ready access to rig tools and not finding anything else that was as lightweight, simple or economical. It's intended for printing in TPU - I used AmazonBasics TPU which has a shore hardness of 95A and have been very satisfied with the results. I haven't tried other materials yet, but I personally wouldn't stray far from this hardness. If you use something different please do let me know how it turns out.I did my best to tune the fit on the holes so that keys don't slip out, but don't need an excessive amount of force to pull out and push back in. Whether it will work with everyone's set of hex keys is anyone's guess, but I tried it with a few types and there doesn't seem any appreciable difference to me.Some rig setups won't play nice with longer keys as they may interfere with other components and/or poke the operator's shoulder. In this case I recommend shorter keys are used, or remix the model to your requirements.Print Notes4 perimeters are ideal so that the rod grips are solid all the way through.I'm unsure how much difference the amount of infill makes for this, but I used 20% gyroid and that works well.
