Camera Rig for Smartphones

I wanted to use thing:719230 as a smartphone accessory - and came up with the idea to pair it with the universal tripod mount (thing:46378), which I had printed earlier. The first test, with the mount centered, revealed that even an iPhone 5 was slightly too large for the rig. So I revised my design and moved the mount to the front, creating a base that made the rig self-supporting once again. The space between the phone and the handle is now a bit wider. It would be a good idea to extend the top and bottom bars a bit more - on my CTC an additional 1.5 cm would be possible. The biggest advantage of such a rig, besides the secure grip it provides, is the ability to attach accessories like extra lights or external microphones. To that end, I added a quarter inch thread to the top. UPDATE 2020: I upgraded the bars, expanding them to 25 cm in width instead of 20 cm. This makes the rig more suitable for larger phones. I printed them diagonally on my Ender-4 (22 x 22 cm printer bed). The first two photos show the new extended version with an iPhone 6 in a large case.
