camera mounts for 360 camera
thingiverse
The various parts showcased here are designed to mount a small 360 camera on a painters pole or adjustable broomstick, utilizing affordable and easily accessible components such as a mini tripod from Daiso and a cobweb broom from Bunnings. The broom threads exhibit similarities but also notable differences, with some being tapered and others featuring a fairly square thread, similar to the one depicted. The Manfrotto light pole base is engineered to be tapped into place and secured using M5 set screws to hold the light stand firmly in position. In contrast, the butterfly clamp parts are designed to clamp the pole securely to a 10mm steel peg driven into the ground. The clamp requires 1/4 inch bolts and wingnuts for optimal functionality. Furthermore, two sets of files available on Thingiverse for using painters poles have proven to be quite effective, although there is room for improvement in terms of part orientation for the horizontal mounts. Specifically, a remixed file of 'hotbrass' with redesigned horizontal swivel has been included here, showcasing a thread that works exceptionally well. Kudos to hotbrass for their contribution.
