Jason Garnett, a Pioneer at Virginia Western Community College in Roanoke, VA, designed this camera mount as a solution to a pressing problem he faced while setting up a room for video conferencing with his colleagues. They needed a camera positioned above the screen, but standard screen mounts placed screens about 9 inches from the wall, requiring an extended mount that could reach past that point. Jason successfully created and printed the mount in just one day using AutoDesk Inventor, and it has since become the go-to standard for their video conferencing rooms.
