Camera mount for Logitech C270 webcam
thingiverse
This webcam mount is designed specifically for Logitech C270 webcams, although it can probably be adapted to work with other models as well. It functions by securely fastening the webcam in place using a 6-32 screw and a captive nut. The mount offers three degrees of freedom: it slides forward and backward on the printer frame, rotates left/right around one attachment point, and tilts up/down. Note that the version shown in the pictures has my son's initials printed on the mount; we disabled this feature for sharing purposes. One thing we discovered is that the Logitech C270 focus distance is factory-set to be a bit longer than desired, resulting in the back of the print bed being in focus while the middle and front were not. We found a helpful video demonstrating how to disassemble the webcam and adjust the focus so that printed objects appear sharp: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=61D186Ver3Q Note that this design only fits on 20x20 cm beds, and it's intended to be printed on its side with slight rotation about the Z axis required for proper fit. Good luck with your print! Printer Settings: Printer: RepRap Prusa i3 Rafts: No Supports: No Infill: 30% Notes: This part should be printed on its side with the clamp facing up, then rotated around the Z axis to fit a 20x20 cm bed. We used a small brim for improved first-layer adhesion.
