Camera Macro Sled

This project was a favor for a friend, who needed a precision-built macro sled. The print and build process is straightforward. All you need to get started are: - 3D printed parts - An 8mm threaded rod (cut to the right length) - A Nema 17 stepper motor with a coupler attached - An Arduino Nano microcontroller - A stepper motor driver, such as an A4988 - A 12V power supply unit - Custom PCB components (available at my website) Optional items include: - A modified remote shutter or Bluetooth module I've refined the controller board of my open-source 3D scanner to work seamlessly with this macro sled. In the future, I plan to integrate the Makro sled with my 3D scanning apparatus: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3050437 For more information about the 3D scanner and its control board, visit: http://www.openscan.eu (German) or http://www.openscan.eu/?lang=en (English) Watch a video demonstration of the project in action: https://youtu.be/Hh_qpfdE7rU
