Camera Lens Focal Length Test
prusaprinters
I just started working on my DIY camera lens build and wanted to verify that my focal length calculations were correct, so I made up a quick jig to test! There are 2 teloscoping tubes, one tube has a feature that fits on the camera mount, the other fits the lens. After estimating your focal length, change the necessary dimensions on the Fusion 360 file, and then print! Now, install your lens, and while holding the assembly against your camera body, move the tubes until you can focus on an object. Check a few objects at various distances. Then use a marker to mark the location of the tubes and BAM! You have a focal length!Note: STL file is designed for a Canon EF-M mount size and a 40mm DIY x 15mm thick lens with an estimated focal length of around 200mm.
With this file you will be able to print Camera Lens Focal Length Test with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Camera Lens Focal Length Test.
