I required a spot to stash the cap while snapping and didn't discover an adjustable answer so I created my own. It's held in place using a 1/4 UNC screw and adjustable to fit lens caps (or filters) from 49-82mm. When adjusting, the screw needs to be loosened slightly, it takes mere seconds with no tools involved. Rotate the holder to make it loose and then rotate the screw by hand. Do the same in reverse to tighten it, with a little practice it only takes a few seconds to adjust to a new lens cap.
