Camera L Bracket for Rotator
thingiverse
This is a L Bracket designed for use with my Rotator (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1396552) when performing tilt operations. I added a simple tripod adapter to enable easy use with a tripod and quick release plate. Note that the quick release plate has yet to be tested. A relief in the back is engineered to work seamlessly with 1/4-20 adapters, which can be found at http://amzn.to/253w33B. The horizontal and vertical brackets have been printed for a precise fit. However, slight filing may be necessary due to their tight design. This prototype is still in its early stages and will likely undergo significant changes. Print Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: FolgerTech 2020 i3 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: .3 Infill: 20% Notes: ABS was chosen for printing due to its heat resistance, which makes it ideal for camera equipment that may be exposed to high temperatures. Post-Printing Instructions: You will need to carefully file the vertical and horizontal brackets where they meet. If you opt to use the 1/4-20 nut located in the horizontal bracket, you will need to secure it with a strong adhesive such as JB Weld. Similarly, the 1/4-20 pocket in the back may require JB Weld for added durability due to its high wear area.
