Camera Hotshoe Cover

Almost all SLR cameras, including some lower-end models, feature a mount on top for attaching a strobe. Usually, these devices come with a small plastic piece that can be inserted into the connector to safeguard the pins and prevent dirt buildup. However, many users tend to lose this protective piece shortly after receiving their camera. My recent OpenSCAD and Thing-O-Matic project involved creating an accurate replica of a hot-shoe cover I had on hand. Using calipers, I measured the original cover and designed a nearly identical replacement. The fit is quite secure.
