You know that feeling when everything is set up perfectly on your tripod, but the battery runs out? Or maybe you just want to check on the last picture you took? Either way, I had to take my trusty Panasonic DMC-FZ5 off its tripod and hot shoe before I could even think about checking the battery or swapping out the SD card. Those days are behind me now that I have this amazing gadget. With it, I can access both without disrupting anything. Printer Settings Printer: Prusa i3 (Hesine, originally) Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 30% Notes: Standing upright was the best way to minimize damage to the support structure. The same PLA filament I used for the gadget worked perfectly as a support material. It's not the most beautiful print, but it was my first attempt with new filament, so there's definitely room for improvement. Still, it turned out to be incredibly useful. How I Designed This I took precise measurements of my old shoe and other objects to help me bring this project to life in FreeCAD. From there, RepetierHost and Slic3r took over, doing all the heavy lifting.
